| Application rate: GoldStart 9-18-9 at 5 gallons per acre. |
| Planting rate: 32,984 seeds per acre. |
| Nitrogen: 150 lbs per acre broadcast preplant. |
| Planter: John Deere 12 row vacuum with 30 inch rows. |
| Plot size: 15’ x 1511’ |
| Previous crop: Soybeans |
| Location: Northeast Iowa |

| RESULTS:
The higher yielding hybrids responded to having GoldStart 9-18-9 applied as a row placed starter. To get the most benefit from starter fertilizer, growers should choose the best yielding hybrids for their area. Harvest moisture response to starter fertilizer varies according to hybrid. Novartis N59Q9 and Pioneer 34G13 had much lower harvest moisture when GoldStart 9-18-9 was used as a starter. |
